UK Almoners Fund
admin October 8th, 2008
The Almoners are one of the longest serving organisations in Subud. They started in 1960 when a small group of members met in London to discuss the formation of an organisation to help sick and distressed members and later that year Subud Almoners Ltd was incorporated. **
Over the years the Almoners legal status has changed and they are now constituted as a sub-committee of Susila Dharma Britain. Their role remains much the same – to administer and provide financial support to Subud members suffering financial hardship. Due to the limited nature of the funds available, this tends to take the form of a one-off grant rather than long term support.
If you want to help the Almoners’ work, send donations to Susila Dharma Britain, ensuring that your gift is earmarked for the Almoners.
See the “How You Can Help” link at the top of this page for details on how to donate.
