El Refugio
El Refugio provides care and vocational training to communities in high risk areas of Bogota where people face exploitation from child prostitution, forced labour and suffer from inadequate health care and poor education. In a previous grant Susila Dharma Britain provided funds for the Charity to establish training in jewellery making, as a means to earn a living in these areas of high unemployment and poverty. The current grants will enable El Refugio to establish a workshop and sales outlet for products which, in addition to creating work for individuals will create a sustainable income for the foundation to expand its work.
